Adam Flax is a guitarist based in New York City. An active participant in the East Coast music scene since the early 70's, Flax's unique guitar style has contributed to numerous Rock, Jazz and Progressive projects; 100 Moons, Dreams of Venus, Oedipus Rex & Pound of Flesh to name a few.

An alchemy of a broad range of influences, Flax's guitar voice defies easy categorization. Rock, Jazz, Blues - even Southern & Country stylings find their way into the mix. The goal is a tough sounding hybrid: tone, texture, color, chops & feel - soulful and athletic. Currently, Flax is involved in creating what he considers to be authentic Jazz Rock music.

Inspired by the musical heroes of his youth - Mahavishnu, Return to Forever (w/ Bill Connors), Jeff Beck, Miles, The Allmans' - Flax strives for power & rawness; the streamlined, progressive aesthetic first laid down by these musical giants. With every project, Flax strives to marry brains and brawn in a way that inspires and excites both himself & the listener - a musical journey to fire the imagination.
